fog light HID install problem

I installed my VVME fogs today however one sdie wont light up. I tried stock bulbs in the stock harness too check if it was a stock wiring issue, but everything worked fine. I switched the ballasts around and the right side still fires however the left even with a swapped ballast won't fire. Note i did have to plug the hid harness in upside down in order to get even one side working intially nothing would light up. Is it most likley the bulb or could ther be another problem? any ideas to fix this?

Most likely either your bulb or your ballast is DOA. The bad news is it will cost you a minimum of $35.00 to get your part replaced, plus dealing with shipping to and from China. And then there is no guarantee that the part you receive back will be fully functional or not. There are other members on MustangForums that have had this same problem. Had my VVME kit hooked up for a whopping three weeks before the ballast went out on it. I refused to pay half the cost of the kit on a part that may or may not work so I just pulled the **** kit out. The best advice I can give you is to save your money and buy a better quality kit. These guys are getting a decent reputation and have a lifetime guarantee: http://www.retro-solutions.com/55watthighoutput.html Sorry for being so negative and hope it works out for you.

switch the bulbs and if it fires on the "good side" check your wiring.

Djmac95 - they don't stock parts here in the US? If something is DOA I would think they would warranty it . That really sucks that you had issues with it.

i already swapped the ballast around and the good side still fires. im am so p***ed about this. I should have known better than to order from such a low grade company. The warranty is crap cause i will have to pay the bs shipping rates. I really hop im missing something here and it will work out, but I dont know what it could be. How could I know forsure it is the bulb?

Try swapping bulbs. Put the left bulb in the right assembly and vice versa, see what lights up.

If the bulb is bad, the left side will never light up no matter what. If the bulb is bad and you switch just the bulb, now the right side will not light. Then you know it is a bad bulb.
