Flowmaster AT vs GTA
I'm in the process of selecting a set of axlebacks for my 07 GT. I have a CAI w/ Dougs race tune (Awesome!!). MY request is to have a little more rumble and overall sound vs the stock mufflers. It's hard to compare from sound clips and vids. My next step is to get your opinions.
I've heard Flowmaster and GTA's have an awesome sound and are not too aggressive or will not qkill you w/ drone. Any help or opinoins would be appreciated!!
Thanks

im going back/forth about flows and GTA's..
since i might do the whole frpp exhaust....shorty headers, x-pipe..i might just do GTA's too.
and i might do it from my ford dealer. its warranteed when you buy from ford and installed...and i think i can get them to match the best prices...

Flowmaster ATs . Only time I've ever noticed any drone is under slight load (going uphill) at low RPMs... but I actually find it soothing! Also, after installing the C&L Street CAI, the Flows really came alive... good deep tone.

I've got maybe 2000 miles on the GTAs with FRPP x-pipe on my '06. I gotta say I love them, and they have really broken in nicely. I get no drone at all under any conditions that I have encountered so far. That was mandatory with it being my only car and therefore my daily driver. If I had it to do all over again, the only thing I'd change is the fact that I waited so long to have them installed. I got a great price at Ninosports as well.

The GTAs are subtle. Quiet when you need them to be, but they can growl when you want them to. That's what I wanted.
From inside the car, they don't sound very much different than stock until about 3500 RPM / WOT. (I think they sound quite a bit better from behind )

My parents actually have Pypes Violators on their California Special, and they are very good for the money. Ive heard GTAs and Flows all in real life and Violators seem to fall somewhere in the middle of the two. Louder then the GTAs but do not as drone quite as much as the Flows. Plus they are verry Deep/full of Bass and its hard to go wrong at $200. My dad's only complaint was the tips didn't line up quite right no matter how he adjusted them, so he had to get them adjusted and welded at a muffler shop ($30)

GTAs look better, Flows sound better... I've listen to both in person and the Flows are a little deeper. As far as drone, GTA guys claim none... however, I have not really experience drone with my Flows... if any, very minimal.
