Flowmaster A/T ...

I have a seen a few video clips of them on the gt's and its got this weird "popping" sound. is that normal??? can anyone explain because i don't want to waste my money if they do that, or do all after market exhausts do that?

if your talking "on deceleration".... thats normal, kind of a hollow pop, like a wet bubble popping

I have Flowmaster ATs, and I don't hear any popping sounds when I first start the car.

I do hear it when I downshift and let off the gas to decelerate, that is normal (and IMHO desirable, it sounds cool!).

The "gurgle" on deceleration is normal I believe.

It's normal, I think it's just more noticeable with a louder exhaust regardless of the brand. I have the factory mufflers and an O/R H-pipe and I hear it more than I did with the stock set up, I like it.

I've had ATs on for 5 months now... love em. I get the 'gurgle' only on startup or reving in Neutral. I actually like the sound of the Flows on decel (with a little back pressure). I get a lot of compliments when I open it up (WOT).

I have magnaflow mufflers on my cervini's side exhaust... if I start it up and in neutral I will hear popping as well..cuz its cold? and on deceleration downshifting through gears...even if warmed. Same thing on my 98 WS6 I had with headers/ORY/Borla cat back.. its normal ..although I have been reading about blowing out baffles on the flowmasters on the S197s

Alright, well I am just curious and now I feel safe. The videos I was watching also had comment section and people were saying "what's that noise?" I guess they're not mechanically inclined. haha

when i first installed them i noticed the big POP sound, later on just with trial an error i came to realize it was only when i hit the troddle when she was cold. Since slamming the troddle right out of the driveway in 20 degree weather isnt a good idea to begin with, the POP has disappeared.

i also got the same sound when i started it up after i installed them but thats just adjustment. i definetely reccomend the flowmasters. they arent the most expensive, i think the chrome tips with the blacked out muffler looks badass and the gurgle is just signature.
