Flowmaster axle-back opinions wanted
As many of you may know, I recently installed a set of Stainless Work 1 3/4 headers and hi-flow cats on my 2005 Mustang. Prior to their install, I had been running the Bassani 304 SS axle-back kit on the car and loved the sound of them in all areas of the powerband. With the new set-up, however, they do not not quite have the sound I am looking for. I am leaning heavily toward the Flowmaster kit specific for the 2005 in conjunction with the new stuff and wanted to know if anyone is running them with anything other than the stock exhaust. If so, what do you think? If I do go that way, I know where a polished SS, rolled tip axle-back will be available cheap.
I'm running the Flowmaster with a Bassani x-pipe, but with stock headers and a blower. The sound is exotic. I would imagine it would be more of the same, only sicker, with Long Tubes! Go for it! For $275 shipped, there really is no other choice.
I've got the Flowmasters too... Nothing else performamce modded other than a K&N flat panel filter... decent sound, good build quality... IMHO the best bang for the buck... they can be had for $277.39 including shipping.
