Anyone exprience any low end decrease in power after installing the flowmaster thunder axel back muffflers. Some people say they have noticed a negative result, however flowmaster says no h.p. loss on there test. I don't understand how you can get h.p loss on a low flow muffler.

as I just posted several times and spoke to Flowmaster, you get a 10% horsepower increase, but you have to reset the computer in order to get the full effect of the mufflers, yea you may feel a lil decrease at first , but give it time to break in, all new mufflers need to be broken in, did you reset your computer??

yea, reset the computer, unplug the battery for 20-30 minutes, then plug it back in and drive the car at least 10 times, so the computer can calibrate to the new mufflers......

i noticed a loss at first as well. i didnt disconnect the battery, but after driving it for about an hour, it seemed to come back into it. should i disconnect my battery to reset my computer or will it learn to adjust without a reset?

if you dont reset it, it could take time for it to adjust, possibly days, its just quicker if you just reset it and run if for about 10 miles, better to get the effect within a day rather than several days
