First Dyno, pleased...not so pleased
Had my first trip to the dyno yesterday, and overall the results were pretty decent, the torque seemed pretty low, and I was hoping for around 280 hp, but I ended with 272 instead. It was done in Tucson, AZ where it was darn humid in the shop, and about 100 degrees. Not sure if that matters much, because Ive never done it before. As I have stated in another post, I think my offroad Xpipe is throwing my CAI tune out of whack to a certain point, I wish i could have had my A/F measured also to verify this, but their meter was not working properly. oh well, here is a pic of the dyno, my mods are in my sig:
Kyle, did they do the pull in 3rd gear or 4th?
Kyle,
There is definitely something wrong with the tune. Assuming the dyno operator knew what he was doing, there is no way you should drop 20 to 25 ft/lbs of torque between 3600 and 4200 rpm. I would suggest you take it to someone who has a working A/F meter with their dyno.

I knew something was wrong, either tune or something else. It was doen in 4th, after a short argument with the guy. haha, his first pull in 3rd was around 253 hp, and 265 torque, the 4th ended up with this graph. I assume he knows what he is doing on the dyno, but hard to tell. I always assumed that you floor it once you get to a certain rpm, he did not appear to do that, I think he kind of eased into full thottle. The HP isn't as high as I was expecting, but the torque blew my mind....
That good he did it in 4th. Still, you either need to get to a shop that iwll provide a A/F or get that shop to do it. As far as flooring it, you can do it if he 'tunes' for it. Howefver, if he does not do that, he will need to ease into it like he did.
However, the torque is way too choopy... unless that is a graph of 1-4 shifting... Is it ? Normally, dyno prints out the area of the power band, ie 4th gear from 3000RPM's to redline.
