Finally....install pics of Heritage GT Twin Turbo System

Ok...so I robbed these from the installation article in this month's 5.0 Mustang magazine. Big whoop. Same installation as on my car.

What turbos? That's a cold air kit. You'll have to spot me three and give me the move.

Oh....you mean.....those turbos.

Charge tubes running to the intercooler tucks up around the pan and swaybar nicely.

There's the little darlings themselves. Twin Garrett GT2871R 53mm dual ball bearing turbos. Badass little *****.

Carbon Fiber Splash Pan keeps water and road debris out of the turbo air filters.

And with the stock engine, transmission, rear end (2500 rpm converter, Spydershaft aluminum driveshaft, 3.31 gears, M/T 275/40-17 drag radials) here is what you get......

So there you have it, kids. If you can play the street racer game well enough this kit will turn your '05-08 Mustang GT into a rolling ATM machine. Works well enough to get me four wins and two runner-ups in eight races. Two more to go.

Install takes about 10 hours if you do not have access to a lift. Basic hand tools is all that is required. If you have a lift you're looking at around 6-7 hours total. Anybody can install this kit. If you have a shop do the install you should figure on them charging you around 10-12 hours time.

Specs on turbos?

Are you able to retain the factory manifolds?

Love that kit. Clean install, turbos behind the front wheels and down low, and those twins...

How is the driveability? Minimal lag? Seamless onset of boost, or is it the kick in the back at 3,000 rpms?

NICE!

But 9grand seems a little hefty without including dyno time/tuning/gauges/etc.

Turbos are Garrett GT2871-R dual ball bearing 53mm. Kit is designed to retain the factory manifolds. My car has the manifolds in place.

Nice! Boost comes on nice and smooth. Driving around town is a piece of cake too. Just lay your foot on the pedal. You don't need much pedal travel at all. Maybe 1/8" and you're at 40-50 mph.

My car is currently at 477 rwhp and 541 rwtq. 8 psi, 11.5:1 a/f ratio, 12 degrees timing.

Rick said that filter was stepped on about eight times during the install.
