Finally got Supercharged

Well after keeping this a bit of a secret for awhile. I can finally post pics of the Roush Polished Supercharger.
I had to keep this in because I knew I was meeting up with MTAS and Burke0011 to go to the MCA show in Alabama.
So right before I leave I told them I had to pop my hood to take out my lightcovers for the trip and SURPRISE.

Let me tell you this thing is a whole new car. And while on the LONG trip to and from Alabama I was able to open her up a bit (120 at one time) and she does it with ease.
I had no problems what so ever with any leaks etc.

I will have the pics from the MCA show in another thread.
I did have the supercharger installed at a local Roush Certified dealership and they had it completed in 4 days.

Looks great, Perry! I'd love to have one... someday.
It was easy to keep your secret for a few days since I didn't have a computer at the show.

Congrats! I have the Roush also and I'm very pleased with it so far. I noticed that your alternator has both ears cut off, not just the lower one. Mine rubs ever so slightly on the hood blanket where the top ear sticks up. I just wonder if Roush changed the instructions to include both since they realized this minor interference problem?

It looks like they also changed the alternator/battery wire where it connects to the rear of the alternator since yours doesn't stick up much at all. Which I.C. tank did you get?(next to the P/S reservoir) They changed the design to a more aesthetically pleasing shape for the production Stage 3 cars, and was wondering if that one is now included.

Yes I want dyno numbers! I saw they installed one on the SPEED channel...they said it's the only supercharger that retains the factory warranty?! Is that true?!

What kinda numbers can you run with the Roush you think?

what Roush says is 415hp and 385 tq of course that is at the fly wheel.

Also this car is a whole new beast. Like I said I had this baby up to 120 coming back home from Alabama and she did it with ease.

I have the Roush Automatic tune. Roush even sends a prepaid box to mail the ECM to them.

The tune they give you is still better than stock but does put the rev limiter back on which kinda sucks.
Its a price to pay to be supercharged and still have a warrenty. Down the road I am sure there may be ways around this

This past weekend on Horsepower TV, they did this installation.
With the addition of a couple of Roush mufflers, I think they ended up with
104 extra ponies at the tire... over stock. Love when they bring the new Stangs into the Horsepower shop.
And that thang sure looks sweet under your hood.

If this below is to believed then I may have to seriously reconsider my plan with my car. If I can retain a 3 year warranty on my car this might be just the ticket.

401981 Polished Intercooled ROUSHcharger Mustang Supercharger Kit (With Roush ECM Calibration)

115 horsepower

65 lb-ft of torque

5 PSI boost

Estimated 8-hour installation time

Roush stand-alone ECM calibration<

Includes the industry's only 3-year / 36,000-mile drivetrain warranty.

It has to be installed by a Ford service department to get the warranty.
