Thumbs up

Hello. First post here.

I searched the site and no luck. But on StangNet I found Black stalion's thread on his new tires which i love! But, yea my car has a lil over 3k miles on it and is almost in need of new back tires. Now, i need something that doesnt stick out and i think Black stalion's 285s did stick out. But, i want wider.

I upgraded my truck from a 275 to a 295 and love it, so i know i want wider.

What would ya'll suggest and where i will still be inside or right on the fender? I was thinking 265 or 275

Link to Black Stallions... StangNet Thread

Also, the fronts are staying stock size for now, so i dont need a ghetto setup where the front will be higher. Its high enough as is already. I do have links to the tire calculators.

TIA!

Big deal! StangNet is just another Mustang site like this one (albeit one with too many trolls IMO). Threads are often cross-posted between this site and StangNet. In fact, the S197Mustang.com ad that you see on this site all the time is actually Stangnet. 05Fuzion posted here looking for help and referenced the Stangnet thread just as many other people do. He's not looking to sign anyone up. Talk about over-reacting!

There's a time when everyone has one post....including you and me. Should I treat you like crap just because I have around 20 times more posts than you? I think not. Also, his one post was a legit question.

Member "Steal101" has American Racing wheels with 285/40/18 tires on the rear. The wheels are custom order (about 7-8 weeks) and carry that size tire very well.

1 post members that hot link to other URL's are a spam hallmark.

It's proper web forum 'etiquette' to introduce yourself before engaging the membership...that's what *those* threads are there for.

While he did post a link, it was to a fellow Mustang site and he also asked a legit question.

Is that so? I seem to remember your first post was a long-winded rant about the lack of an IRS in the '05. The closest thing I remember in the way of an introduction was "new member here" or some such. Perhaps you became aware this "proper web forum etiquette" you speak of at a later date?

Wrong.

My first post was in fact an introduction...on the proper thread, including a photo.

You would have noted that if you had bothered to do some research.

I stand corrected then. Your first post in the 2005 Mustang sub-forum (which is the first post from you that I saw) was the long winded rant. Neverless, I stand by my opinion that your response was unwarranted given the context of the original post in this thread.

Look,
95% chance that 05Fuzion is probably a stand-up individual with a legitimate query. It's that last 5%....

In this day of phishing scams polluting the whole WWW (drawing surfers to a specific site by seemingly innocent queries...or outright trying to grab a credit card # using an imposter web site linked too via a legit looking email)...

It's a sign of the times.

Do you want to be a phishing scan victim? Do you enjoy junk mail? Spyware?

I think not...and the only way to put a dent into all this crap is to practice safe computing, be on the lookout and discourage one post hit and runs.

So, 05Fuzion...care to tell us anything about yourself?

My apologies. I didn't mean to hijack your thread. I don't have an answer for you so I'll refrain from any more posts.

BTW, welcome to TMS!

Sure... details on me:

Got my 02 harley F150 when i was 15, drove it stock painted till June of 2004 when an x-g/f keyed and caused 5grand in damage. My parents let me repaint it with custom paint and showed above. So in September it was finished. In October i had setup to buy a 1989 5.0 Mustang Coupe and pay the guy like 400 a month till i paid it off, but my parents asked if i would rather have a new 05 GT and of course i said yes. So, we found one and i got it. Now giving my paychecks from my job at Nu Tan to my parents each month to pay for it. I am now 18 and a senior in High School, and taking an auto body class at a local Jr. College.

Hows that?
