I just wanted your opinions. I have the RKSport Ca. Dream hood, and I really want to make the scoops functional. I heard that Fang Performance was making an air box to connect the hole on the bottom of their hoods to the factory box. I sent them measurements on the hole on the bottom of my RK hood, and they said that it should work just fine with their box. Then pictures and prices came out, and I'm not too sure what to think. Fang Link It is only shown on the main page, though the description is on the performance page under "ram air box". The price is not on the price list, but is on the main page as $150. Check the forum for a conversation AFBLUE and I had with Fang. What do you guys think? I don't see much to it, and the sealer they used looks kinda sloppy. Maybe a pre-production version? I was trying for the simplest solution, not necessarily looking for maximum HP. All of the local dealerships have already told me that if I touch the computer, they won't service my car , so I don't want to do something that requires a tune. Yet. This "ram air box", however, just looks too simple. I don't see $150 worth of plastic there, and it uses the factory air cleaner. Should I just get a CAI? Suggestions? Thanks!

Second idea: I LOVE the look of the WMS intake. Any ideas on covering the hole under my hood and drilling new ones in the middle to dump air right into the WMS? Any ideas about problems with rain or weakening the hood too much?

I don't have any answers to your questions, but could you post the measurements to the hole in the hood?

The opening is 5.5 by 7.5 inches, oriented with the short sides towards the nose and rear of the car. The nearest long side is 7.5 inches from the driver’s side edge of the hood, and the front short side is about 13 inches back from the front corner of the hood, or approximately right above the factory air box.

That is what I sent to Fang, and they said that the hole in my hood is 2 inches narrower than the hole in their hood, so should probably work.

Thanks I have the K&N which is positioned forward and was trying to find out if the hole would line up at all. I emailed RK Sport about the GTR hood opening but haven't heard back from them yet, I would guess both openings are in the same general location.

Yea, thanks blue. I'm leaning towards a CAI now. That box is kinda fugly, and I'm planning on a tune at a later date anyway. I was hoping for an upside-down version of the factory box with the square filter exposed on top and matching up with the underhood hole. Oh well. I'd still love ideas on matching my RKS CD hood to the WMS, though. Why don't YOU get the box and write review for everyone?
