extreme tune adjustments on SCT Xcal II

extreme tune adjustments on SCT Xcal II

Anybody tried the extreme tune adjustment on their Xcal II ? My laptop won`t read the handheld.

Even though I reloaded the drivers 3 times, I never did get my laptop to talk to my X2. I eventually just used my desktop computer and it worked great the first try. Go figure...

I have just talked with Brent at Brenspeed and the 06 Mustang doesnot use the extreme tune capabilities. This is for pre 05 mustangs. All parameter adjustments are through the handheld on 05, 06 etc.

I don't mean to contradict an expert but if your tune file is in .xtr format, Xtreme Tune can be used to adjust parameters on a PC. Once the resulting file has been uploaded to the xcal it is no longer adjustable. However, if your tune file is in *.ll3 format, it has no pc adjustablity but can be adjusted on the xcall. When I bought my tune from BamaChips, I asked for and received both types and have since made adjustments to both as described above.

Thanks for the enlightenment on this subject. My hand held must be in the later configure only, for what I was told.
