Exhaust setup...

Borla cat-back, BBK catted X-pipe and LT Ceramic Headers.

Has anyone heard this setup? or done it?

Lol... I know this is the s197 section. I own an 07.

I'm trying to decide if paying that much for Borla will be worth it. I've always loved the sound, but since I'll be spending close to $1000 on the headers and pipe I want, trying to see if the $750 for Borla is that much better sounding than, let's say, the Pypes MM system.

Those are the headers and x pipe I want.

Oh my bad Well the stingers were my fourth muffler and now Im on the pypes mid muffler system and i wish I had this system from the begginning. The stingers sound great and I though they were the best sounding system for ours cars but the rear mufflers don't make the same sound the mid muffs can. The mid muffler drone is about half of what the stingers were also. Opinions vary though...

I love my stingers, but Ive heard a lot of good things on the PMM system. Everyone seemed to ditch the stingers for them, so maybe Ill do the same .

You wouldn't regret it...Sometimes you have to sacrifice to achieve greatness

I currently have LM Axle backs on her, and it has way too much drone. Especially at higher speeds...

Looking for as little to no drone as possible. I know Corsa advertises no drone, but I can't see spending over $1000 on a cat-back...

Uh... wow. I might order those soon since it's that cheap. Although I'd prefer to get the entire setup at once, just money (or the wife) does not permit that.

I just had the bbk lt's and o/r x-pipe installed two days ago and I already had the frpp stingers. The sound with the lt's an o/r x-pipe is more refined and cleaner than the o/r h-pipe and stingers. Also there isn't any trumpeting that i can here. I was speechless when I felt the newfound power and tq. It's important to get and updated tune file for the longtubes, because after the install I drove home on the existing tune and then loaded the longtube specific tune afterwards and was shocked at how much stronger my car felt with the updated tune.

That's my plan. Install headers, x, and whichever cat back I choose, also a CAI, then tune it the same day, or the day after.

A buddy and myself will be doing the work, since I hate letting shops work on my baby...
