Remember our Flowmaster 2 chambers and off road H-pipes? What's the closest we can get to that classic sound? Which brands!

How about a off road h pipe and Flowmasters? They still make them for this Stang now.

I don't think the new Mustangs will ever have that "5.0" sound that the 5.0 makes as the engine revs through 2000 rpm. I have stock h pipes and flowmasters on both my Mustangs, '91 and '06. Each car sounds different, I love 'em both. The 06 has an awesome deep tone that increases with throttle pressure.

I also have Flows on my 06 GT. I love the sound and it gets better with age.

I'll check them out, problem is Flowmasters are way different now. I have the ancient all black ones from the late 80's, before they added the "pressure buster" chamber. They were always the best sounding, the originals.

I used to have a 91 with O/R H and 2 Chamber Flows. I've done quite a few different setups with my 05 trying to find that sound. The closest I have come with my 05 is my current setup. I have a Pypes O/R H with Flowmasters. Then I welded Pypes' Hi-Flow cats into the H pipe. It sounds awesome....and close to the 5.0 sound.

They're a little more sedate than the good ol 5.0L ones but there is no drone now and the classic Flow sound elements are still there. There not as sensory battering as they were before but in my book that's a plus, I like to hear my stereo on the highway.
