Exhaust Question - FRPP Bullitt Special Edition M-5230-GTB

I am currently in Iraq and have not heard a 2008 Bullitt in person. I am looking to buy an exhaust in Sep when I return, but want one without any cackle, minimal drone and a deep tone. I have heard great reviews about the 2008 Bullitt exhaust and now Ford is selling it as a stand alone.

Can anyone please tell me how much of a difference a stock GT vs a stock Bullitt is? Thanks much!

They sound great. They're a deep tone, and the whole construction is stainless 409. They're very similar to the GTA's in my opinion.

We have them in stock for $395.00

Thanks for the info. How do they compare to a stock muffler? Is it a noticable difference? How much louder/deeper would you say they are?

They are louder than a stock muffler. Not too bad at idle, sound deep and loud when you get on the throttle... not to where you have to talk over the exhaust tone or anything, but louder. They are a very deep tone, nice rumble... really sounds good. I haven't heard them with long tubes yet.

I heard that the GTAs are louder. If you look closely at the Bullitt mufflers, they have perforations near the exit. That signifies some type of glasspack resonator. My stock axle backs have a glasspack resonator near the exit. If you get them nice and hot, you can hear it "crackle" after you shut down. The GTAs have a smooth exit, which suggests a straight pipe (no resonator).

I heard the GTA's in person and they are FANTASTIC. No drone, loud enough to be noticed, and at WOT (standing outside the car) it makes the car sound muscular. If you ask me, I recommend sticking with the stock axlebacks because they're quiet.

I'd leave the stockers and go with a off road H pipe, that really sounds sweet.

Thanks for the help Tillman. Few questions: What are long tubes? O/R H-pipe means no cats, right? How do I figure out if that is legal to do in Virginia?

And the main question: Has anyone heard the Bullitt side-by-side with a stock GT? If that was your comment Tillman, then thank you! I do appreciate it!

Also, Tillman, do you offer a military discount since I will be buying them from Iraq? Thanks much!

One more question, has anyone compared the Bullitt to the FRPP GTAs?

The GTA's sound off better.I've run both the GTA's and Bullitts. The Bullits do sound good as mentioned but they are very quiet on the hiway. They really aren't bad if you are going to drive your Stang daily.
