Since I installed my MAK offroad pipe I have been getting exhaust fumes in the car at low speed and at stops.I have found no leak's under car or in the pipe. But it is realy driving me crazy.Wife wont even drive in car because it gives her a headache.

Sorry I was kind of rude . Actually I think you have been on these threads now that I look at them...Its all on the latest thread in the S197GT area...

Your thread is kind of not really asking anything, although Im assuming you want to solve this problem. I would DEF consider calling MAC and talking so someone there..I believe the main problem is using the Off Road pipes, I mean after all, they ARENT meant for daily use.

If exhaust smell really obthers you or your wife, then put the stock catted h pipe back on. Exhaust fumes are just part of what you have to deal with when you remove the cats from any mustangs, and always has been.

Mike, I just checked out some stuff...You should really consider putting the stock cats back on. Not only will the fumes go away, you will run cleaner .

It's because of the NO CATS...you are getting the fumes because the cats filter out the odors and other toxins...kinda smells like an old car now huh...LOL. It is normal for any exhaust without CATS!

Now, I don't think this is the advice mike was looking for. I don't have any fume smell with mine. He shouldn't with his. Look at his avatar!
I'd either go with George's suggestion or call Mak. I would tend to believe there is a leak somewhere. Check your seam welds, if you still have any. No black exhaust marks anywhere? Unless mine is just blowing it out so much that it's not able to get back to my windows?

I couldn't resist this and yes you did recant, but you recently post a thread about exhaust combinations when there is a bazillion threads on exhaust already as well as a sticky with all kinds of sound clips. Easy killer.

Thanks Dave.I am wondering if the car is running rich at idle due to no cats.We all check for A/F at WOT but I think with no cats its rich at idle.

I'm not sure if you can change the A/F yourself with the Predator, but your tuner should be able to change it at idle. Do you have a wideband? I just received mine. Can't wait to play with the datalogging. I would guess it's fat if you smell it that bad at idle.
