Exhaust Dilemma...

Ok, call me cukoo, call me crazy, but I just can't figure out which axlebacks I like.

My budget is $300 for mufflers - the problem is, that it seems like nothing good is more expensive than $350 and even then. IMO, there's only 2 or 3 decent mufflers to choose from.

I have you note, that I have been running without mufflers for the past month or so. I have been driving with the stock mufflers off - open pipes, if you must.

I love the sound of this. I want something that will sound deep and throaty as the muffler-less sound does on this car.

If worst comes to worst, I rather just go to Meineke or something and have them put me on some Flowmaster 40 or a Cherry Bomb glasspack series or something, or hell, even just straight pipes with some nice chrome tips.

What do you guys think?

why dont you try the pypes mid muffler system.. its around 275-300.. I think it sounds better then just changing mufflers.

i agree.... to get a more agressive sound you will need to change the mid-pipe, h,x or prochamber. for more tone consider off-road.

I mean, don't get me wrong, the SLP Loudmouths are a great alternative, but I can see spending $350 on a set of straight pipes, which don't even have some sort of louvered core or anything inside.

Anyway, I will look into the Pypes Mid-Muffler system. I have looked over it before, but that seemed sort of cheap-ish looking to me.
