Depends on your inspector...if he's car friendly it wil be ok. It will pass emissions but some states inspections state the car MUST have a muffler installed. I lived in Va. beach area during the late 80's....I remember a LOT of car friendly inspectors...don't know about now tho..

The SLP's are on the loud side and if you get stopped for a noise violation they could give you a ticket for Illegal Modifications (no mufflers). Had a friend get that once for revving his 69' chevelle beside a cop (straight pipes). :bang:

HAHAHA...so the SLP's don't have mufflers? That's why they are so loud? It is just a straight pipe from the cats?

 

No...they are "axlebacks"....basically you pull off your mufflers and put on mandrel bent tubing instead. The tips look like they are chambered but they are really solid wall (no resonator holes...etc)....but....Da' sho' do soun' nice !!!

So what's the difference (in Sound), between the SLP Loudmouths and the SLP "Power-Flo's" ?

The Loudmouths are louder (no mufflers). The PowerFlos have a 5" dia muffler on them. They sound great... I have no regrets.

 

Go purchase this months Muscle Mustangs and fast Fords and read all the testing on the 05 exhaust systems.
