Exaust question

Still new to the s197. The 05 I just got has the stick exhaust still. I wanted to upgrade to something that sounds a little more like a mustang. My old 03 didn't have a cat back just some flowmasters welded in. I was thinking if just getting the stock muffles cut out and maybe having some slp loudmouths or pypes m80's welded in. Is this a good option with these cars. I know a lot of people are just using the axle backs. But I'm just looking for some sound

no cutting or welding needed with most axle back mufflers. Flowmasters make a lot of noise or you can go with muffler delete pipes. Me I went with headers, high flow cats and what ever mufflers you think will make some noise

Well I was thinking more along the lines of having just mufflers welded in place of the stock
Mufflers to try and save a little bit of cash. After doing a little research though it seems like it will be pretty close to the same price and less hassle to just buy the axle back

You could get some of those sweet turn up dual tips welded on too. You know, like the ones on Hondas....

Yeah I'll keep that in mind. And while that is a great idea. I just ordered the slp loudmouth axle back. I have quite a few things that should be here next week for the car. I got some lowering springs from AM along with the staggered 18x9 18x10 anthracite deep dish bullitt wheels. Also bought the painted side window louvers an the rear black out panel. So once all of that and the axle back arrives it should be quite a different looking and nice sounding car. Just have to find the time to do it all now. Been quite busy lately. I got the car stock except a nice head unit in the dash and smoked tail lights

Yeah it actually took me a minute to think of the tips u were talking about, I was like I don't think I've ever seen those. Then I remembered seeing them on some 4 door accord with hubcaps or something somewhere, And your comment became funny.

Go with Borla or Corsa either the s type or atak system for borla they sound amazing I have the Atak with stock h pipe and it sounds like a beast even with cats Borla is an amazing brand and have a 1,000,000 mile warranty bit to mention how much better they look than stock
