Estimate of time/tips to install CDC shaker

I've just read the installation instructions for the CDC shaker for the '05-'07's and was curious as to how much time was required from start to finish on this project. Anyone that has installed one, how long did it take you? Thanks for any info or tips. kennyg

There's lots of info here...... if you search alittle bit, you'll find all you need to know.

In short, I'd give the job a three beer difficulty rating and it took me about three hours.

See OKCMustangGT's Shaker install post, has some helpful info.

Like Tom estimated, 3 hours sounds about right.

Going from memory, Don't permanently tack the upper trim ring down on the hood until you prefit the shaker shroud. The center of the shaker scoop vertical rib should be inline with the hood centerline. The shaker shroud has limited side to side adjustablility, but if you cut the hood hole crooked to start, adjusting the upper trim (has some float in it within the cutout) last to center it to the scoop will help. Trust me.

Thanks for the tips and other info. Talked to the owner today and he will bring the Stang out later in the week. Those 3 beers will come immediately after the successful install! kennyg

While I agree with your 3 hour time table. That 3 beer difficulty rating seems a little low to me. Took me at least 3 to get up the nerve to drill that starter hole. After that it was easy.

My install took about 6Hrs, but I didn't hurry.
I did read about everything I could find prior though, helped quite a bit.
