Eibach pro kit - Ford part number?

I called Gene Evans Ford (Local dealership) inquiring about Eibach springs and they said they had them for $200. I went and picked them up and they are in a plain box with no markings other than Ford part # M-5300-K.

How do I know these are actually the Eibach pro kit? Does anyone know?

Also all that is in the box are the 4 springs and 2 black plastic pieces. No directions or anything. Should there be more?

Thanks for the help as always.

I have a friend who works for Eibach and he got me a good deal on the Pro springs and swaybars (both Ford Blue with Ford Part numbers on them)...

If I recall correctly that was the part number on my white box as well. He told me that it was the same thing but made for Ford. He got me the Ford part number so it wouldn't cause a problem if I took my car in for service.

Normally I'd be weary...but he's one of the few friends I trust implicitly.

The swaybars did have instructions but the springs did not.

Thanks Jake, my springs are Ford Blue as well. I called back up to the parts counter and he said some of the boxes come as white boxes with Ford part #'s and some in Eibach boxes. No real explanation as to why was given. He had some in the Eibach box he said I could trade for but I don't think I will bother.

Can one assume from this thread that Eibach makes the FRP springs?

...would that be the same springs as the eibach pro kit, or a model with different spring rates than the pro kit? It's interesting that the recommended dampers are not eibachs.

They do make FRP springs... they just mostly ship them out in white boxes wiht blue bars inside.

I was looking forward to some red eibach swaybars and springs... but Blue is ok too....

The dampers are made to eibach's specifications by another company.
