Went to NJ for a dyno session for the mags. Diablo flew up with their new predator and MM&FF was there for documentation. All I can say is that things went flawlessly. The car made as much if not more power than expected, driveability is as good as stock... 30mpg on the highway!!!!! This kit can bolt in in about 4 hours to boot and looks factory. I'm working on what info i can release at this time. I'll keep you all posted! Needless to say, the kit will be available from Procharger VERY soon.

Some numbers may or may not have leaked on the SVTperformance site.

There is no way the stock engine can hold up w/ that amt of power for long. Just my opinion. I sure would NOT want to be the guy who tries. But nice #'s!!!

Very interesting! 30 MPG? I've never heard of an 05 coming even close to that! Be incredibly great if it holds true!

I was surprised... but it does take less throttle angle to maintain crusing speed. Puts you right at peak tq rpm which should be the most efficient operating range. As for holding up... I'll let you all know. We will be slowly turning up the power till the motor breaks. That way we will all know for sure. I think at 440 it will live though. The rods and wristpins are nice.. the pistons are the weak part. Top ring is only 100 down but it is stainless and there are stainless ring lands on the piston too. New technology. If you would have told me a stock 4.6 block could take 800hp in 1996 I would have laughted at you... but they do it. Either way, we will find out for sure soon.

Let me get this straight, are you talking about a stock 4.6 GT Mustang motor here?? If so it won't hold up without built internals. Those cast pistons will not hold up, you need forged pistons. Sure it may hold up for a few thousand miles but if you hammer it much it won't last.

Thats the same bogus information being espoused by just about everyone who doesn't have an 05 GT.

I really am looking forward to some forced induction 05's to start posting up time slips. Gonna be a real shortage of crow soon.

Well, I've tuned many many cars with blowers and cast pistons that make this much and more hp. They will live for a long time if you keep them from detonating. I think 440 is a reasonable number for keeping the car together. I could easly make 550 with the car with nothing other than a pulley change and I will find out if it can take it. But for now, 440 is the safe number.

Mike, Do you know cost approx.? And also is the oiling system self contained or do you tap into the pan> 440hp with or without intercooler?

Oh forgot to add, talked with the Saleen rep about their super charged 05 GT at the LA Auto show. He told me they did nothing to the engine as far as pistons rods ect, and said the engine took to the SC just fine. I don't know where people have gotten the idea the car cannot handle boost at all.

Can't wait to see this product for sale

The naysayers up to this point have been all about theories, they have some merit, but the real world will be the only real test.

Sure try to put insane boost on it, it will blow. But I'm thinking that most manufacturers are going to do some real testing to see where the breaking point is and stay WELL below that.

I don't think they want to see a bunch of blown engines because of their huffers
