I finally got down to Steeda to have my 4.10's installed. I also bought their CAI. I was able to get on the dyno for a new tune and here are the results...
Baseline with the following mods: No HC trap, Steeda Underdrive pullies, SCT Xcalibrator tune. 279.8 rwhp/296ft-lbs. I then put on their CAI along with the gears: 294.9 rwhp/308.9. This car feels awesome now.
I will be visiting the track tonight to start getting used to launching it. My wheels and tires are on order.
Dyno sheet attached!

So, since CAI kits don't get too much HP increase on a dyno (since they aren't moving to take advantage of the cold air), is it safe to say that 4.10 gears add almost 15 HP? I was hoping more than that for $500+. Anyone else with the gears who know how much HP it gave them? Those are some good numbers though. I think we might be able to get 350 RWHP with this car N/A.

Wait a minute, I think your coming to an odd conclusion. Gears aren't going to give you any HP increase. All taller gears do is get you off quicker!

The increase IS the C.A.I. A good C.A.I with a tune will absolutely give you nice gains.

Using CAI for the kits on the market for the 05 mustang is kind of misleading....there is no "true" cold air being forced into the filter. They use just a heat shield surrounding the filter to help seperate the hot engine air from the conical filter. As far as the gears, they do nothing for HP...just help you accelerate faster...

169stang...great results...keep it up

I was corrected in another thread regarding gears. Now that I think about it, of course gears don't give you more HP. I'm not too experienced with the internals of the rear end. And 15 HP from a CAi is real good.

Last I saw the Steeda CAI's were 259.99....I think you get a heat shiled for that price as well....gains did sound very nice.....Good job!

MMR's intake kit (with upgrade that includes a shield and straight hose) will be $250 total and should net 15 HP as well.

I definately feel a big difference. I took her to the track last night (where the heck were you Boss Hog) and it's going to take a bit of getting used too all over again. My best for the night was 13.28@106mph. It pulled hard at 6200 rpm. I had a 1.98/60'.

I made an error! it was 13.28. I'll post the time slip in a minute. I have to scan it.

time slip-Sorry for posting incorrect time before. I was off just a bit. I did edit that particular post to show accurate times. I don't want to be misleading.

David on your b4 numbers - did the ud pully set up account for most of the hp gains? Isn't the '05 running between 265 - 270 rwhp bone stock? That means the ud pullies + the SCT gave you between 10 - 15rwhp? And your exhaust is still stock?
