Second on that. I've had the Powerhouse shaft in for about 5 months now. No vibration, no problems at all. And I have an auto. They were also good folks to deal with.

$675?!?!

Did you guys get some kickass deal, or are people really paying that mutch for a quality driveshaft? If so, count me out. On a price to performance scale that just sucks.

Oh, that's not such a bad price for a car part that is encrusted with gold dust and diamonds...

You really can't get anything much cheaper. There are chrome-molybdenum steel shafts that are cheaper, but they are also heavier than the aluminum ones. Weight is about halfway between the OEM and the aluminum shaft.

I know what you mean though. I think I paid $195 for the aluminum shaft for my '96.

hey anything is better than BMR's CarbonFiber drive shaft, they say it is rated up to 1000+ RWHP but $950 PLUS the price of a yoke for the u-joints it is crazy over $1050 for a drive shaft on a car i doubt you could get up to 1000 RWHP without major racing mods

Ya, I have a hole in my pocket but it is not that large! Powerhouse or D'Agostino for me.

Does changing out the driveshaft really allow more power to get to the wheels since there is less rotational weight?

Or is it mainly just for safety with increased power?

Try calling The Driveshaft Shop and ask for Frank. Temm him B&M referred you. We installed one of theirs on our car and it worked great. I believe his pricing is better too.
