Drag Race Tire Pressure Question
Hey guys, I haven't been out to the track on the current wheels and tires, but I'm hoping to get out this weekend. I'm running 255/35/20 up front and 295/30/20 in the back. Any tips on what pressures to run?
(I know, put slicks on my 17's, but I can't do that right now)
Thanks for any advice.

Well this is something that you're going to have to experiment with ... It's completely dependent on the tire, track conditions, weather, etc. I'd put them to 22 lbs and see what happens. The fronts I'd fill to 35 or 40 lbs.
It helps!

Leave them alone, go around waterbox, and leave right above idle. Best you can do with street rubber.
I'm coming from experience.
If you get 2.4's 60fts, you are spinning, launching to high. Leaving right above idle, almost guarantees 2.2's. If you get to the 2.1-2.0 OR LOWER, then you are doing awesome on street rubber.

2.13 13.86 @ 100.70
2.49 14.30 @ 102.98
2.15 13.61 @ 104.44
2.24 13.85 @ 105.59
2.13 13.63 @ 106.16
I was having a real hard time grabbing on a few of those. Went w/ 23 in the back and 41 up front. Thanks for the tips.
