Downshift speeds?
What gears does everyone downshift to (at given speeds) when getting on it on the highway?
40MPH?
60MPH?
75MPH?
This is assuming you have the stock 3.55 gear, and a 5-speed GT.
Just curious....

At 40 you can easily do 3rd, or you can go for the gold and go to 2nd (it will really kick you in the pants)
60 should go for 3rd
75 go for either 3rd or 4th depending on how much go you want.

I know from personal experience that you'll be going darn near a 100 at the end of 3rd.

from memory, my stock manual 2006 GT redlined (~6,000 RPM) as follows:
1st gear @ 37mph
2nd gear @ 66mph
3rd gear @ 103mph
4th gear @ 132mph
5th gear @ 149mph (it hits the speed limiter while around 4,500 RPM)
1st gear @ 37mph
2nd gear @ 66mph
3rd gear @ 103mph

Downshifting...
40mph seems to be about 4500 RPM in 2nd gear, IIRC
On the highway, if my speed is below 80mph, I will shift into 3rd (if I need to GO GO GO), otherwise I downshift to 4th.
I would not consider going to 2nd gear unless speed is below 45mph and I REAAAAAAALLY needed to move.
