Doug's Race Tune

I'm currently using a canned 93 octane Predator tune, and I'm considering getting Doug's 93 octane race tune. I'm completely satisfied with the canned tune's extra power and torque, and how it got completely rid of the throttle lag. However, there's one small annoying problem with it. When accelerating normally at POT, I can feel a noticeable dip in torque/power in the lower rpm range. Does anyone who uses Doug's 93 octane race tune experience this?
Thanks.

Not at all Ski, as a matter of fact ? you'll notice a significant improvement in throttle response, all through out the entire RPM range, and not just at WOT

+1. I run the 93 race exclusively. All positives-absolutely no negatives

Hey there Pat ! the Burg's been treating me very well lol. you might as well say, that's it's been my adopted home, for over the past 25 years now..As for the nice driving weather ? it's been near perfect, during the past 2 weeks, and have been hitting up all the local car cruises, just about every day or so..btw, if you're interested in locating our local area cruises ? just go to www.carcruises.com

when I had my car........

I ran dougs 93 race tune, it was great... IF there is a down side it would be the gas mileage. But if you want to go fast you have to burn the gas..
when I get my car back I will continue to run the same tune... Doug is great!!

I just ran mine down the interstate and got pretty much the same gas mileage... Still too early to tell around town but that looks pretty much the same. I really like the way the 93 race pulls from any point in the throttle.

Yeah, on the highway you keep a pretty constant speed. Around town, just try to keep your foot out of it . Any time from a stop its WOT untill you hit the speed limit and watch out for the on ramps

Doug’s 93Racw and I get better mileage and the power is there from the time you drop the hammer and it hits like after burners when you pass 3500 RPM's. Really feel it, amazing, totally amazing.

question about Doug's 93 Race tune: I already have an SCT with 3 tunes from Doug (87 Perf, 93 Torque, 93 Perf). Can I just order the race tune from him, and if so, how do i replace one of the tunes already in my SCT (it can only hold 3 from what i remember). Thanks in advance. I figured I'd ask here, since I know Doug has been really busy lately.

I have 5 tunes from Doug...I simply save copies of the tune files in a folder on my laptop, then load them as I want.

He can email you the tune. You'll need Live Load to swap out the tunes.

Chris, the torque tune focuses in on the lower and mid range RPM's, while the performance tune, focuses in the mid to upper RPM ranges..Hope that addresses you're question..

only thing you have to be careful with when your running 93 race tune : is be careful when its cold, it wants to lunge away. Dont run anyone over<LOL. You think I am kidding wait until you start it up on a cold day, I guess with the timing and all it wants to jump to a start, just what I like.
