Wheel hop! Ha! Ha!

Are you guys sure it's not the traction control pulsing the wheels?

If I leave TCS on in my '05 I get like a juddering motion on hard launches.

If I switch it off, the rears light up as smooth as butter and it just leaves nice even stripes with no juddering!!!

Try it!

The '05 Mustang proably has the best setup live axle in the world (for a production car)... I doubt if much or if any wheel hop is going on at all!

Cheers

yep, we're sure TCS is off. maybe it's something to do with the quality of pavement, or temperatures, or humidity, or atmospheric pressure, or..... At any rate, I found the BMR lca's did little to help. Will be going with an upper to see if that helps.

I've noticed that I get wheel hop when I do my burnouts at lower rpm's but I don't get it when I launch it harder.

I know the difference between TC on and off and the wheel hop is with it off. As another person posted just earlier, when the roads are wet or damp and you just start to break the tires loose, that is when it is real bad.

If I take off by dumping the clutch at say 3500-4000rpm it is not near as bad, but it is still there. Dry or wet roads.

If I'm doing a brake stand it hops around until the rubber is good and hot. If I'm doing a burnout (no brakes) and let the gas off, like at the track, it hops around when I let my foot off the gas. Doing a burnout, no brakes, no letting off, it's fine.
