Diff between Redline Tuning Quicklift Plus and Elite
Diff between Redline Tuning Quicklift Plus and Elite
Does anyone know what the difference would be aside from finish/colour (i.e. black vs stainless)?
Is it worth the price diff of $35 to get the Elite?
Would Redline be a good choice for hood struts?

Here are a couple of links of the hood struts I am referring to:

I wouldn't be buying a kit that requires drilling holes and popping in rivets.
I have the kit from CPC (california pony cars).
It uses the factory bolts and locations so no drilling required and the quality is top notch (I am very picky and don't say that easily).

Here is a comparison from Redline's site. ==> http://www.redlinetuning.com/QL-comp-chart.html
I had the QuickLift Plus on my car before the Cervini's hood and they worked perfect. Drilling wasn't a big deal either.

Is the drilling fairly straightforward with the Redline hood strut kits?
I looked at the CPC (NXT) struts on another mustang today....and they seem decent and I like the fact you do not need to drill.....though I think the Redline kit looks more sleek.....and so far has gotten some good feedback from Mustang owners.

Where did you buy your kit from? I am leaning towards this one now as I would prefer not to drill holes......and painting it to match would make it seem like a really good fit (i.e. OEM like).
I installed the Redline Tuning Quicklift Plus (all black) on my Shelby. They work great and look great, like OEM. It's really no big deal to drill the holes.

..and they attract lots of attention!

BTW, hows the stripes coming?

It is a better deal to just have them paint as you know it will match. CJ Pony has them painted for about $120.
I am still waiting for it to warm up before I put the stripes on.....have got my powder coated valve covers on now.....just got my JBA headers ceramic coated....just ordered an SCT and 410 gears from AM.
Isnt modding addictive and fun? Still also got my Cervinis GT500 style chin spoiler to put on....want to stripe the car first before I do that.
The longer strut used in the Redline require less pressure so they last longer and hold better as they have better leverage on the hood than the short ones. Use a drill stop when drilling and that will prevent you from going too deep. I used the Redline and the hood would gently open all by itself from about one inch high and would stay up nice and secure.
