Just released - r21 for U7140 Predator

 

r21-Live data and tune updates

Sounds like they updated the tunes once again. I wonder what they tweeked?

 

Cool! I'm gonna give it a try when I get home! I'm curious to see what changes in the tunes we will see.

I updated with r21 and the C&L tune that's up there now. Fresh tank of Mobil 93 Octane. Engine detonation appears to be gone (for now). That's good.

I had the car out for about 15 minutes, and this combo, for some reason, just feels better than previous releases with normal and MILDLY aggressive driving. I'll do some WOT tests tomorrow.

Wow, these guys seem to change the tune about once a week...

How do you guys keep up with it....

 

Did they update their custom tunes also? or just the Predator firmware?
Man, I wish they would put file dates on the custom tunes download page so we would know when they were released.

I'm running r8 with no problems, why mess with it. I will eventually, but being a computer guy I know better than to keep chasing every upgrade.

 

I did the C&L update (r13)...I wasn't expecting much...but it is very noticeable. Much better throttle response in the low rpm range.

 

What tune does this come with?..Im a little confused..Ebay link

 

I'm a computer guy myself, and that approach is a smart one. Once I find a firmware/tune combo that works as expected then I'll worry more about driving and less about upgrades.

Ever seen any software revision release notes accompanying the Predator updates or tune updates?

AJ- I think that is the C&L Predator (which is ok) but I would get the regular Preadator (Diablo Logo) because it gives you more options.

With the regular Predator you can download the C&L tune or other custom tune as well. Plus when you upgrade the firmware you don't worry about if you have the right Predator or not. Majority of the people have the regualr Diablo Predator; therefore, updates and technical support will be easier and more accessible.

Supposedly this release fixes the bug that kept you from raising shift points during WOT with the Automatic transmission.

I had my car at Diablo weekend before last and Scott spent the whole day working on my car. I have the Steeda Predator with their CAI , CM Plates , UDP's and axial back exhaust. Before my visit I was having problems and Scott used my car to work out the correct tune for the Steeda Predator. It runs great now , no drive ability problems , and puts out more HP than the SCT with the Steeda custom tune. Anybody with my set up should contact them for the new tune ...

 

I swear my gas mileage is worse with this new tune.

 

I got 15.8 mpg on my last tank with the R17 tune.

 

Check your right foot. I'll bet it is closer to the firewall . . . . . . .

My mpg is up to 22.7 mpg! From 17mpg before the cai and tune!

 

22.5 with highway and city. Two or three stoplight races at WOT...
