Slow down. This is getting out of hand...Let’s wait for a comparison between the two.
It is my impression that both marry the car and cannot be used on another one. Does not matter if you go back to stock tune or not. Correct ??
What does this one do that a SCT does not? I have not seen anything yet.
Has it been run on the dyno yet? Results? There are just too many unanswered questions. I hope it does a great job as was intended but I’ll wait until the results are in.
. ROLL ON

It also read's "Trouble Codes", the way I understand it the SCT download's "Tune's" you get up to 3. You plug it in and "Flash" your CPU. The Diablo has "Tune's" in it also, but you can change certain perameter's yourself, i.e. idle, trac. control, fine tuning A/F ratio's etc. I'll no more next week and give everybody all the detail's, but that's what I'm gathering right now. Bottom line Diablo = more control, more options, more info on your operating system's. As far as gaining more power, we'll see....Lookin good though!

guys the SCT box lets you adjust everything on your computer. All you have to do is request the file , , download the software off SCT's site and either the tuner you get the box from or SCT directly will email you the tune thats in the box....from there you can adjust away. I'll have my box monday. You have to buy the powered cable from SCT (mine was 35.00) so in total I got 360.00 in it and can do everything from my computer to make "tweaks".......check it out here http://www.jmschip.com/main.php
check out what they did with a TOTALLY stock suspension 05....even had street tires (mickey thompson street )

I think with the Diablo you have a more "Adjust on the Fly" capability. It sound's like with the Diablo you will not rely on "Pro-Tuner's" as much. I also like it's diagnostic's capabilitie's. I'm not knocking on SCT at all, there performing very well. With the "extra" time Diablo took, I'm just hopeing for a little better result's...Hopeing is the key word.

I can't wait to see proven Dyno numbers on the Diablo also! It's nice to have choices but we definitely need to make educated ones when it comes to tuning.

I found 2 sites using Froogle that list the Predator as available for the 2005 Mustang:

Competition Mustang

Central Florida Motorsports

I am waiting for a cheaper price. I thing RPM outlet will have a $50 rebate and Injected Racing was $335 for some previous year models.

Absolutely true from what I've been gathering, that's why I have to go with Diablo.

Let's just say I don't do Windows..... not going to build a computer just to be able to tweak my car :bang:

Just got off the phone w/ the guys at CST....they have a xcalibrator 2 coming out if 5 weeks that has a LCD screen and it does everything that the diablo does but he said the data logging will be MUCH better than diablo and their going to offer all current xcalibrator owners the upgrade for a fee....didnt know how much but he said it will be VERY reasonable. Just got the pulleys installed on mine.....first impressions , it revs easier and has better bottom end. Now I'm going to put the mild tune on it and the cold air kit this afternoon.........soon as I run out all the regular unleaded thats in the tank , the aggressive tune goes in. I'll report my impressions when done.

I REALLY do HOPE that SCT and DiabloSports go head to head on this one! I want to see the quality and performance of the products go UP and the price go DOWN! I just hope that we can get to the bottom of which one is "better" in the next two months or so. That's when my baby is due and the first thing I plan on buying is one of the above programmers.

And while thinking about it, I also hope that DiabloSports proves to have better customer than SCT has shown. I have not been all that impressed with their support shown on the SCT forums so far.

The people at Diablo must think I'm crazy! I've called them quite a few time's, with a ton of questions. They have alway's taken the time to listen to me, and gladly answered all my question's. SCT was hard to get a hold of :bang: , and they seemed like they had better thing's to do...Well I guess I had better place's to spend my money...Diablo all the way.

O.K. Tony how about Nintendo vs Playstation, is that a better comparison for Ya?

As a matter of fact, the UPS truck just pulled up with a box full of C&L stuff and a pre-production Diablo Predator!! Come on Friday!! I've got an appointment with my local speedshop on Friday for a baseline pull, then I will install the C&L Intake kit. After that I'll flash the CPU with the predator, then Dyno tune. Hope to post results Friday evening!

Awesome. Looking forward to the results, man. You may be flirting with 300 whp if the tuning goes well....

p.s. 8 bit NES rules!!
