Yes, that is correct. You need a custom tune from Bamachips, Brenspeed or some other reputable shop. Without it you will actually loose power. I wouldn't even drive the car until you get the proper tune for the CMCV delete plates.

I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading that on the Predators, there is an option for deleting the plates BUT that option has to be turned on when it is setup. If that's true, maybe that's what you're thinking of Sharky. If you don't see it as an option, then these other guys are right- you need to get a tune for it.

I haven't installed the plates yet...
But I am going to install them as soon as I figure this stuff out.
I e-mailed Doug and am waiting on a response.
Thanks for the info guys!

Which devices come with the delete plate natively?
I have a Hypertech III and a Diablo Pred... Neither one of those have the option to delete the plates from the factory.

My Predator has no such option. I have ordered a custom tune that allows for this and also will optimize for my LTHs, catted x-pipe and WMS air intake system.

no tuner has the option out of the box, the only way you have the option is if you change the settings with a computer then load the tune, but i would leave all of that up to Doug

Diablo Sport used my car to work out the tune for the CM plates with the Steeda CAI and I assume they used my results for other CAI's too. You need a special tune that accounts for the plates , there is no option you can set ...

Not true ! before I converted my X-CAL II 9415 Strategy Flash canned tuner into a standard 9400 custom tuner..their was an option in the end user adjustability menu for CMCV delete in which to select from..
