In the next couple of weeks I will be getting my turn and gears installed, finally. And after that I plan on moving on to other performance additions to my car. So I am breaking it down into a few different groups with different brands of headers, cams, delete plates, mid pipes, etc. And I would like y'alls input on which group would be the best bang for the buck, and of course your extensive knowledge on why this group is better then another or why none of the groups are the best and add in your own input. I would also like to know the HP gain out of each group if you happen to know what it would be just by looking.
Group A
Kooks Long Tube Headers
Off Road H-Pipe
Hot Rod Cams
Delete Plates
Throttle Body
Group B
JBA Long Tube Headers
Mid pipes with the cats still on
FRPP Cams
Delete Plates
Throttle Body
Group C
BBK Long Tube Headers - seem to be the cheapest so far
BBR Cams
Delete Plates
Group D
Mix and match for the best results. Please post which mods would be the most beneficial together.
I'm not sure what throttle bodies and delete plate brands are the best, and the headers and cams are what I have noticed in the majority of peoples sigs.
I figure a majority of the votes will be in Group D due to the fact I'm not sure which product is the best for any of the mods. I'm a newb when it comes to performance mods.
Thanks for the help!!

We install exhaust weekly, and from these groups you have chosen, I would go with the Kooks. Quality is second to none, they are made in the USA and fitment is perfect. The kooks are a popular item and well worth the money IMO.
Group D
Kooks Long Tube Headers
X-Pipe with high flow Cats
Comp Cams
Delete Plates
If you have an automatic transmission, add:
High RPM Stall Converter
Save money and skip the T/B which isn't a flow restriction for naturally aspirated cars.

I'm no expert at all and have none of these components, but why not just save an extra 2 or so k and buy a supercharger? I mean to have headers and cams installed aren't you looking at a decent amount of install if you don't do it yourself. I figure about 2400 in just those parts!
Edit: I went back and read that you want to stay N/A, but for an extra 2k wouldn't you much rather have boost?

I also decided to do some engine dress up for shows.
Yea I'm in a similar boat, except I finished college about a year and a half ago and have been working full time since. My boat is that I've got college loans & car loan, just got a motorcycle in June, and if I buy another 5k+ anything and its not a diamond I won't even need the mustang cuz I'll be dead. I need to get wheels too! The turbo route is my first choice, but it seems like such a pain to install. I'd feel way more confident doing a SC install, but I want efficiency and boost when I want rather than constant drag.
Good luck, I'm sure you will figure it out though!

I maybe able to use that to my advantage. Granted it will take me longer to save up to that amount, it would be a bigger gain for the money, right? I'll just have to play around with the numbers and see.
So heres the price list and websites to the mods you mentioned Five Oh. Total cost, minus the Torque Converter and Install comes to - $1,900.88.
I wasn't sure what torque converter was the best or which one I would need so I left that off until someone chimes in.
I figured it would cost around $2.500-3,000 to buy the parts and have them installed. Does that sound about right?
Kooks Long Tube Headers - $810.95 - http://www.stage3motorsports.com/pro...uto_Trans.html
X-Pipe with high flow Cats - $209.99 - http://www.americanmuscle.com/jba-sh...pe-0510gt.html
Total = $1,020.94
Or the combo deal - $1,359.95 - http://www.brenspeed.com/6020ch.html
Comp Cams - $739.99 - http://www.americanmuscle.com/compca...e2-vsr-05.html
Delete Plates - $139.95 - http://www.blowbyracing.com/20ecimdepl.html
High RPM Stall Converter - ???
What would be the overall HP gain roughly with these mods, plus the tune and gears when they are installed?

I would go with Pypes longtubes and x-pipe. Pypes copied Kooks and they are cheaper. I would go with stage 2 Comp Cams NSR (thats what I have on order), delete plates or C&L intake (delete plates are cheaper), underdrive pulleys, Stall converter (Doug has one in stock) (I'll PM you about it) and then of course Doug's tune.
