Ok everyone,
I want to please hear from daily drivers that have UDP's installed. Has anyone had any problems with UDP's that drive their cars daily? I want to put them on but am apprehensive if it causes any electrical problems or a/c problems (I live in OK where the summers get really hot)...Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Had mine for 4 years (2V 4.6) and ran into reduced power steering assist, reduced A/C output at low speeds, and reduced charging (batteries would eventually run down to below 12V in the winter).
The solution is to bump up the idle speed enough to compensate for the change in the alternator/crank pulley ratio. For the 2V 4.6, I had to idle at 800 RPM in gear to get the same charging output when I had the stock pulleys. I finally went back to the stock pulleys and didn't even notice a change in performance.

I've had less than desireable results on previous Mustangs, but not this one. I put Steeda pullies on this '06 and have had no problems running the a/c, brights, etc. Also, I have a 700 wrms audio system; 400 wrms is from a Class D amp which is more effiecient, but none the less I have no problems such as dimming lights, etc. with the pullies on.
Also, after I installed the pullies they pretty much offset the gas mileage that I lost after installing 4.10 gears, so I was really happy about that. I can cruise at 70-75 and still get just under 24 mpg.

As for electrical output, the alternators on these cars is pretty big, so even with underdrives, you should make enough juice to be ok. It's a 140amp alternator, and makes around 80 amps at idle in stock form, just for your info.
I'm surprised to hear that some of you guys had so many problems. I had March underdrives in my '96 GT for years with no problems whatsoever. And, it gets plenty hot during the summer out here in eastern Washington. I've had Steena UDs on my '05 for over a year now. No problems with charging, cooling or anything else. Don't expect miracles from them, but they will free up maybe 5-8 HP. Not bad bang for the buck.
I've had Steeda UDP's since I bought the car in July. Summer in Louisianna and South Texas is about as hot as it gets. If I sat in traffic without moving for a long time, I could definately feel the difference in the AC output- not very cold. Once I was moving, even at 5 mph- everything was back to normal. The Water temp on the car never rose even a degree with the UDP's installed, and battery charging/voltage has never been an issue. I was very sceptical about UDP's before I installed them- But I am very happy with the result. The Steeda kit is very high quality.

I have had mine for over a year in Texas A/C full blast and not one problem. I live in Houston and spend more time in traffic than alot of people and my AC runs nice and cold.
Have had them on for about a month now haven't noticed anything changing i/e water temp or charging! Definite mod to gain a rated 10 to 12 rwhp and 1-2 miles per gallon according to steeda.
I have the exact same drive to work everyday, and I usually get spirited in the same spots. I have noticed a slight increase in milage (i reset the trip comuter every fill up 20-25 miles per tank), and a large improvement in performance. I am one not to expect gains from small mods anymore, but this one surprised me. The car is very responsive right at tip in.
There's been a lot of posts on here about the 05+ Mustangs having "idiot gauges". Could be why it looks like your temperature and charging weren't affected. I'm not saying they were; just that the gauges might not be the best way to judge.

Is that the exact image of the Steeda pulleys? Do they include an alternator pulley? Is the Steeda dampener the same size as the OE crank dampener?
There is a pulley ratio for the alternator: crank pulley diameter / alternator pulley diameter. The alternator can produce approx 80A+ at a certain rotor speed. When you go to a smaller crank pulley, you reduce this ratio and would have to increase your idle speed in order to match the original alternator speed to obtain the 80A+ charging output.
I did 100% stop and go driving with the 4.6 2V and did notice my voltmeter needle drop at the light and as I said before, I went through multiple batteries over 4 years due to undercharging and the Steeda UDPs just left me with a bad experience.
