d specs
Why is everbody selling their d specs. This summer I thought they were the hot set up. And I was going to buy them but then seems like Konis are the way to go but with the price on slightly used d specs about 500 less than new konis HMMMM?

I would be one of those selling their DSpecs, so I'll give input. There's nothing wrong with DSpecs, but the Koni's I have now are much better dampers. I actually haven't had them on my car for almost three years, I was just keeping them around to put on if I had the Koni's out being revalved/rebuilt. Since the Mustang is not my daily driver any more, they were just taking up garage space.

I don't know about koni's but my d-specs are working just fine.
I actually have them on two turns out on all four corners and it's kinda a rough ride on a crappy LA surface street. I might turn them 4 -5 turns out once I get rid of my lazyness. Perhaps this weekend.
They are nice shocks so I'd ****** them up from someone here on the forum unless you want to spend twice the amount of cash.

Well, anyone who's run both will have the D-specs up for sale pretty quickly (I did). As for the D-specs being the "hot setup", well they existed before the Koni's did so a lot of folks bought them (including me) because we didn't have a Koni option. Now we do. Also, forums are funny things and folks often tend to make statements and decisions on what's popular or cool vs. actual tangible differences. What's more is not a lot of folks have tried both (however, it's happening more and more as folks hear many who've run both prefer Koni).
Add to that the pretty lousy "warranty service" Tokico offers, and that Tokicos link compression and rebound which isn't what I like.... You end up with folks re-examining their options.

I have konis on my 67 shelby clone so I guess maybe i'll keep saving and just buy the konis, I have edelbrock shocks on my street rod and drove like a different truck when i put them on. could not believe the difference, no wheel hop and it just hooks! Maybe I'll get lucky and find some a Little cheaper in the spring at one of the swap meets.
