Question Convertible suspension mods

I am getting in a '08 GT Vert and am planning on put on aftermarket springs, struts, and front & rear sway bars. (Steeda Ultralites, with their non-adjustable shocks and sway bars.) I've recently became aware that Verts have a softer suspension from the factory - or at least they did with the first year or two of the S197 models. Is this still true? And if so, will going with the above be too much, considering the starting point. I don't think so but I would like to get some feed back from others.

This will be a daily driver and I am looking for better handling without sacrificing much in the way of ride quality.

Well, as a general rule, a convertible version of the same coupe will have a softer suspension.

So I see no reason to suspect why an '08 vert would have the coupe suspension, versus and '05-'07.
