Comp Stage IV Cams installed!!!!

Well we finished up the install today and started her up. Fire just fine on the first try. No issues at all. Comp says "very, very rough idle," however it is not very, very rough. There is a noticeable lope but not quite like EmperorJordans. If anyone else is interested in doing cams my installer said he'd do them again $600. He says he could do it in 12 to 16 hours. I plan to get it on the dyno soon so that I can send the results to Doug to get a tune for it. It runs just fine the way it is but I'm sure with a cam specific tune it will be even better. Here's a small video for ya.

P.S. please over look the JLT that's the way I bought it from a friend. It will be getting repainted soon.

Thanks,
Russ

Been out driving it a little and I F*ING LOVE the way this car runs now. I can't wait to get it on the dyno and get a tune to see what the car does then.

What are the "major differences" with the new cams as relating to driving? How does the car feel, does the power really come on at a certain point (rpm)? What are some of the highlights you could point out?

The best I can describe it would be to say that it is like driving my old Lightning. If I was just cruising around and punch it the truck would build boost and take off. That is what my car is like now at 3000 rpms. When you get to about 3k and punch it, it just pulls all the way to redline. With just normal driving there really isn't much difference at all except for the lope. Seems to be getting relatively the same gas mileage. When I get gears that will help out but I could get by without them. Anything else let me know.

please please please tell me you're going to run the 1/4 mile once you get it tuned. I haven't seen times from anyone using aftermarket cam yet.

Car sounds great.

Brent's car gained 3 tenths and about 4mph with the addition of Stage 3 cams. www.brenspeed.com, under the "customers" section you can find details.
