Comp ***** Thumpr Cams

I'm about to install the NSR 127020 cams. My concern is getting a tune that will pass the Texas emissions test.

Anyone have any experiences in this area?

**** emissions tests. That probably didn't help. If its any constellation, before I did my exhaust when I first got my cams all you could smell was the cats struggling to clean up the exhaust.

Pretty sure your cats are not a constellation

Yea gf says I smell like my car , after installing headers and going with an off road x-pipe,all you need to fail a emission test is somebody to smell ya!!

I'm sure with cats and a good tune you'll be able to pass..I know of a few people that pass the CA sniffer that way.

Cats ruin cams, unfortunately. Better off to run full exhaust and swap the h pipe before the test. It's a night and day difference.

Yeah thats what I do..Seems like a pain to have to be switching back and forth but it's worth it in the long run since its only every 2 years

I just installed the CompThumper (127020) cams. Everything went perfect and it passed inspection on thefirst tune. So far I’m pretty impressedwith them. It really pulls hard from2000 to 6000. I, running ford racing shorties and 4.10 gears. I didn’t lose anylow end as others have stated I would. Ihighly recommend them. Follow thepicture link below give a listen.
