check engine after oil change at dealer
Hi guys, this happened to me, I wanted to know if it is normal when you have a cai and tune.
I have a CAI C&L racer, and a bama tune 93 torque.
the car otherwise is stock.
I took it to have an oil change to the dealer, and they wanted to change the air filter gas filter, so I explained that I had the CAI and tune, so there was no need to change the air filter, or touch the tune(maybe I was wrong in saying that) but then when I picked it up, it was showing bank 1 and 2 running lean, I reinstalled the torque tune and the check engine went away, but still I don't know why that could have happened...
maybe they unplug the battery to change the gas filter and I lost the tune?
if this happened to other people and know why, please reply thanks

do you mean the fuel filter? if so, they wouldnt have to unplug your battery to change it.With the fuel filter all they would have to do is depressurize it. but thats not a big deal cause not much gas comes out anyways. They were probably messing around with your cold air intake and something got screwed up. i would see what they did, so it wont happen again if you bring your car back there.

They easily could have disconnected the battery to "depressurize it".
Always think about the worst case scenario.

that is why you must return everything to stock, also the air intake and take it in or else they will mess with something, but that is why i put in a K&N and placed the decal on the air box so if they ever ask i just point to the decal
