Most expensive part will be the head studs. $400 although if they will prevent any future issues then they are worth the money.

The head stud kit will make it easier the next time you have to take your head off that's for sure just make sure you use sealer for the threads or you'll be doing the same repair later down the road

Dude that's so weird. Did it overheat? What year? How many miles? Crazy how the plug valleys filled up like that. Very puzzling.

Didn't over heat, 06, 5800 miles. Thinking that me getting hard on the throttle and the boost lifted up the head gasket enough to allow traces of coolant in there. Only thing we could think of.

With this comment^^ I question your buddies engine rebuilding skills.

I apologize on that it was the sleeves he was referring too not o rings. That was my fault. I couldn't remember what he said that late night. It's my lack of knowledge not his lack of skill. I'm a biology major not a mechanic. 10 lbs of boost.

I have heard of people changing their cams while the motor was in the car but it may be a little difficult plus it is open to debris from the engine bay to get into the cylinders also you may want to machine the heads to get rid of any imperfections that caused the problem in the first place
