Change in MPG since supercharger installed!

Ok, I just took a look at my MPG since I have had my supercharger installed and it went from 13city with my jlt/sct bama 91 performance to 17.5 city with the Paxton supercharger and custom dyno tune from ST Motorsports, no BS. What the heck is up with that . I have been driving my car pretty hard to since I got my supercharger installed last week. I was lucky to get 14city with the cai/tune driving normal shifting at 2.5k. Anybody else with a s/c notice anything like that. I don't know what is up but I sure do like it

I've experienced the exact opposite. My mpg sucks. I'm hoping that will all change after Doug re-tunes this car on Wed. I know it's the way I'm driving, but I'm lucky to get 10-12 mpg in the city.

My mileage went down after my supercharger by roughly 3mpg. Right now with the ethanol in the winter gas, I am getting pretty bad mileage.

I've posted this several times before, for what it's worth..... when I tried a tune from Bama I got much worse mileage than the tune from Brenspeed- the power/response was about the same between both.

It would be very hard to compare your gas mileage anywhere in the United States this time of year. We are all on winter blend of gasoline that uses an increased amount of ethanol. You will not get as good of mileage this time of year. We should all expect 2-3 MPG less now than when on the summer blend. So don't get to worked up about it.

So I should be expecting my MPG to go even higher when summer hits

Adam,
Yes...you should expect better mileage this summer. But somehow I think you have been doing some "HOTFOOTING IT" the last couple of weeks also. Just a guess. May have something to do with it!!!

Seriously these past two days I have been driving the car harder than I have ever drivin it. Just testing out the supercharger and getting used to the boost. I didn't nearly drive it as hard before the supercharger with just the cai/tune and got 13-14 city driving. I got the 13-14 city just crusin around town. I have been driving the car pretty hard and now i'm getting 17.5 city. I was just really shocked when I checked my MPG and I immediately came back home and made this thread to see if anybody else noticed this change. I'm thinking it had to be the tune

I am not so sure you get "winter" gas in California. I thought it was sold only in colder climates for emissions reasons.

We do. I went to college for a couple of years in South Dakota and people there seemed to think that California was one big beach. Even where I live it gets into the 20's at times.

Dang Adam! Im 17.5 easy and I drive my car pretty hard and its almost all City...Highway I can easily get 23+ around 75 and that is with 390s and 295/35s in back which effectively increase (numerically) my rear end ratio even further.

You are trying hard to convience me to go Centri arent you?? Haha

I've got the canned C&L Racer Intake and DiabloSport Tune. I get 20 MPG worst case scenario. I usually average 22 (cause I can't leave a light normally) and then I get about 27 Hwy with cruize in 5th at 68MPH.

NO S/C yet, but I'm sure it will go DOWN BIGTIME!
