CDC Chin Spoiler Paint Estimate help...
For those of you who had your CDC (Classic) chin spoilers painted by a body shop, just wondering what costs you incurred for prep/paint-code matching? (just paint, as I will do install). I've called and got ball park estimates between $240-$350... seems kind of high, but then again, what do I know Thanks in advance. Doc

Yes! Those estimates are high. I'd shop around a little more. I had a friend paint mine for $50.00, but that's low... You should be able to find someone reasonable for $100-150

That sounds a little high, I got a guy that would probably paint that for like $150-175. I'd do some shopping around at local body shops that aren't like collision repair shops, but "paint shops". If you know what I mean.

I had mine done for $75 bucks installed. I think that was a great deal. I had just had several other things done at this body shop the month before so I think he just covered his costs. I would pay $150 - $200 installed no problem.

I paid 175 for mine with a base clear
The estimator said it would have costed less had the spoiler been without the black textured coating, as they had to build that up with primer.

ps also make sure they use a flex paint so that the paint wont chip off when it bends. Most body shops probably allready know this but I am just throwing it out there

60 for the quarter window louvers to paint.
But our shop does this bodyshops alignments, so Im sure I caught a break on the price. I told them charge me what you need to charge me, just make sure its a good job.
