Nevermind.

It is quite obvious that my post was misinterperated by everyone.

Carry on , nothing to see here.

The Earth will be destroyed by an asteroid before car pollution harms the Earth atmosphere.

Not to mention that cow farts hurt the atmosphere more than anything. And if you think about it, the percentage of people that take the cats off is so minute...I doubt that it's worth getting yourself all worked up about.

So what? Just because our Nanny State government says _ _ _ (fill in the blanks) that doesn't make it right.

Isn't that nice. They can side step the laws they want the rest of us to obey.

The automotive enthusiast (who your referring to) is responsible for polluting the environment for less than .01%. Even IF they remove the cats off a car.

So continue targeting the smallest percentage of polluters in the world (auto enthusiasts) and ignore the real causes of the problem.

If cats were that important, they wouldnt let older cars run without them, they would require cats to be installed on EVERY car. You don't even need sensors for them to work properly.

I'm going to remove mine today and turn off the sensors with the sct just for you and declare this "National take your cat off month"

Isn't the latest scientific news that pollution actually helps lower the earth's temperature because the smog acts as a shade, preventing some of the UV rays from reaching earth?

If that's true, I'm glad to know that I'm doing my part to save the environment.

Didn't get to see the originating post. But just figured I'd speak up as someone who ripped out his stock cats and... replaced them with very expensive high performance cats. I didn't have to, just my thing.

Ahhh, being a self rightous SOB feels so good. Try it, you'll like it.

I never said anything about Pro eco/enviromental....I just said I did not understand why people ripped off the CATS for such little HP gain period. I would never rip mine off period. There is a reason for them.

I must have used some bad examples , because the anti-eco crowd ripped me a new one in very short order.

I need to keep my opinions to myself.

You're right, there is very little H.P. gain. I didn't retain my stock ones because I went with longtubes, but I do have an aftermarket catted H-Pipe. Why? Because I want it that way, that's why

It's in bad taste to go back and edit a post like that, just leave it out there for poeple to rip on. Take from it what you will.

I figured that removing the cats was as much for the sound "improvement" as it was for any hp gain...
