The cat is out- Vortech install soon!!
Ok, I've been holding this back for a week now but I got the green light to announce, so.......
Brenspeed is developing a blower package from Vortech, and I get the lucky priviledge of having my car used for the development! The install will be in about 2 weeks and after that..... I'll be pushing some boost!!
At this time to help with the development, the initial install will be an S-trim non-intercooled system pushing about 8psi; the estimated numbers are 410-420 rwhp safely without the 'cooler. I plan to run this for most of the summer anyway, to see how it performs. This is a kit that Brenspeed is putting together and developing for a price that most budgets can live with, considering the costs of most supercharger packages. It should be a great alternative for those of you that don't want to spend $4000+ for a blower system, and still want something upgradeable later on!!
Second stage is mating a Paxton air-to-air cooler to the Vortech headunit. This will allow me to use the lighter 'cooler and get more aggressive with boost and tuning; should be around 450-470 rwhp after the upgrade I would think. Of course you also can add the Vortech 'cooler later, but I prefer the Paxton for it's looks and simplicity.
Please contact Brenspeed for additional information regarding pricing, availability, specs, etc.
YEE HAW! I'm getting blown!!!

I'm very interested on they adapt it to the Shaker. Not so much for function, but more cosmetically.

Haha there is NO OTHER WAY TO DRIVE IT!
I'm leaving it with Brent & Dave at Brenspeed for about two weeks after the install is complete; if it's not trashed when I pick it up, then likely it will survive all the torture I can give it!

Good luck Tom!
I know you have been itch'in to get a blower for awhile now. I'm anxious to hear how it all turns out. What are their thoughts on the 4:10 gears? I usually hear that folks need lower gears like 3:73?

Thanks man, I'll let him know! I wanted one of their Hellion turbo kits, but I couldn't resist the offer they made me since they're using the car for development and I like the idea of upgrading easily to the 'cooler once I save up some more cash.
