well called them and that is for the S/c,Install and all the parts. They only warrenty it for the time of your warrenty on the car i thought it was for an extra 3 years. i have 20k miles on it right now and its a 07. The only reason i wanted it done by them was for the warrenty but at this point and for that price they have to be on crack. Of coarse when i asked them if they could install a whipple for me they said no because they only install roush S/C's at this time.
I wanted to get htis done before i got back from afganistan but now im just going to go to tillman and have them install the whipple for me for the same price if im not mistaken. I would also be getting alot more for that price. It just sucks because i have to drive across 3 states to have them put it in . What do you guys think? you think thats a good price and just get it done at the dealer and have it before i get back or just wait alittle longer and get something better with no warrenty ?

screw the warranty. Low boost S/Cs don't have issues anyway. Put the whipple in and keep the boost down if you're worried about breakage.

Reason why the Roush offers a warranty is because it is so underpowered

+1
I think your real problem is that Tillman is a little far for you.
Look around and ask if there is some place closer to you that has a good reputation for installation and dyno tuning.

THAT PRICE IS RIDICULOUS FOR A SUBPAR UNIT.

Really Dustin? Then how do you explain the Roush P-51A and its 510hp? Thats more than the GT500.

Stage 1, and S/C are two different things. A Stage 1, is nothing but Dress-up. The Dealer price probably reflects the conversion from your CS pkg to the Roush Body kit, as well as then adding the Roush S/C which is NOT part of the Stage 1 package.

I'll be in the market for a ROUSH, as soon as they finally put the 5.4 in one to start with. Why they keep bolting on power adders, to the 4.6, without the internals is a question that hs been out there for a long time. I almost pulled the trigger on a Stage3 BlackJack. But I really want a 5.4, but I don't want a shelby.

Might Want to Check My Info out on the Roushcharger I have a Bit of Experience with them. It can Be Done a Lot Cheaper than you were quoted and a DEALER DOES NOT HAVE TO INSTALL IT. As Far As Warranty you will Have The Remainder of your 3/36 or 12/12 Whichever comes First. After Checking Out the Links Let me Know if you have any further questions.

I would wait for something better outside of the warranty. The 3 year is not added, it never is. 3yrs or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first for the Roushcharger.

As much as I enjoyed my Roushcharger, everyone told me that the Saleen or Whipple were better units. I guess 4 pounds of boost in mine is not exactly the same as 4 pounds in a whipple/saleen (because they are bigger superchargers, will give you more power throughout the band at the same boost levels).

Don't pay the dealer to do your install. If you are willing to pay 7K for something, get the best you can for your money. A conservative tune is just as good as a 3 year warranty!

Don't kid yourself, the P-51 has a built motor. We're talking about a Stage 1 Roush kit that provides 385 ft-lb at the crank. I have almost that much with just bolt ons. That's pretty depressing over the stock 320.

510hp isn't that impressive either for the money that car is. A $6k off the shelf JDM Saleen system will safely give you 450rwhp which is equivalent to 525 HP at the crank. In case you can't subtract that's more powerful than your P-51.

there are no shops around fayetville ,N.C. that i would bring my car to. i was planning on going to newyork for a bit and thought i would just drive down in the stang and leave it there since it's right on the I-95.

Sorry for saying stage one i meant to say, lowest/stock roush S/C. No body kit mods whatsoever. just the S/C and the install.

The Roush is a decent unit for a stock engine, but like other posters have mentioned you don't get a lot of HP for the $. With a custom tune mine is putting 400 to the wheels (dyno sheet recently posted) but that's with a few other bolt-ons too. Thing is, I only paid $4500 installed. For how much money you're talking I'd recommend you look at other options. At the very least find out if your price includes a custom tune. I'm told the pre-canned Roush tune is very rich, which means you'll likely be seaking out a new tune and therefore spending even more money.

If you got an 07 and up, Ford/Mercury upped the warranty from 3/36 to 5/60.

Take it to Josh and Kevin at Piedmont Modular Performance http://www.pmpparts.com/ . They are great guys and will do a bang up job and are a lot closer than Tillman.

Your right, I forgot about the forged internals. But even though its only 510hp, and the price is up there, you can get them for somewhere in the mid $50K range, and this car (with only 151 made) vs a Shelby GT500 at about $50K loaded, and many more around. Just saying thats all.

And I know all about a JDM setup. Several of my friends here in the Mid-Atlantic have gone to JDM to get their cars done. I know what it can do. And for the record, I can subtract! Why the attitude? So I like the P-51? I think it looks cool for a SE Mustang.
