CAI from JLT
Well, I have added a new mod since my previous post, which was a tune done with the SCT excalibrator.
Previous Post

This is a CAI from JLT, who used my car as a test pony. Brent from DTPRacing did the tuning. The first thing we did was flash the car back to stock and did a baseline pull. We then put on the CAI and tried it without a tune and as all of the other CAI manufacturers have said, the car leans out and MUST be tuned!! I dropped my car off on Monday, so Brent could work on a tune for the CAI. I have to say that I am plaesed with the results! Brent will be doing a few more pulls this Thursday to see if the computer has adjusted anything since I have been driving the car.
Below are the dyno results. The baseline was done with the factory airbox and factory tune. The best pull was done with the CAI installed and custom tune. The weather was dry and 34 degrees at sea level. The hood was up and a large fan running in front of the car. There were approximately 2660 miles on the car and I was running the 93octane. Here is the chart:

JLT will have a heat shield, which is not pictured. He did not have one cut from the mock-ups he did on my car. I believe he will paint them to match your car. He didn't have any mineral grey for the prototype. He said he would get me one in mineral grey when he gets the paint.
I can say that the car sounds much more vocal with the CAI. I have never had a CAI, but I have heard from others that this is common. I like the sound; it put more of a "growl" into the car. I can definitely feel a difference from stoplight to stoplight. I have not gotten to open the car up, since adding the CAI. Hopefully, I will get to try my gtimer Fri/Sat night, if the snow holds out.

I will try to get a chart of the A/F this afternoon when I pick my car up. I looked at the numbers, but I cannot remember for sure.

Those are great gains for just a CAI and reflash. Are you stuck with 93 octane now, or can you also use 91 octane?[/quote]
I can run 91...the gas station I use has 87 or 93.
Please let us know when this is released for sale. This may be the best CAI out there if everything is true to the dyno numbers. I hope they are able to test on a few other cars also but please keep us all informed and thanks.
I have talked to Jay and he has not released the product. He says they have done a least one other car and have repeated the results. He has the results of one of the other car here.
I have done no other mods to my car at this point. As I said earlier the only mods have been the tune and CAI.
BTW, I never did get the a/f info from DTP.
