I just installed my JLT. The price was worth the change in sound alone. Seat of the pants feel is good. pulls hard 3000-redline. Very nice kit, easy to install, good directions, great craftsmanship, I'm very pleased. Thanks Jay!

?.... not sure where you go that number but RPM Outlet has the C&L kit for $349 or the kit with the Diablosport Predetor tuner with a tune specifically for the C&L for $649. And you will need a tuner for any of the CAIs.

How easy is it to install the JLT CAI kit.

I don't have a lot of tools and don't have facilities for major jobs by myself. heck, I even pay somebody else to change my oil !!

Is this something I can install myself with basic tools (screwdriver, etc..) ?

I talked to a K&N rep today at bikeweek and even though he was in the motorcycle dept he had seen the FIPK on a test car.He looked up the part # and gave it to me along with the price. 572523-1 and he said it will be superseded by 2523-2 price will be $252.00.

Frankly, for my money,JLT will get my BIZ.
Hey tucker, can I get a predator loaded with your tune???

all you need to install the JLT is a common screwdriver, a phillips screwdriver and a torx driver (sorry I dont know the size, it is to remove the MAF from the Ford pipe) 15 minutes and your done. I am using the DTP premium fuel tune. This system Rocks!

I'm using a 91 Octance (3.90 gearing) canned SCT XCalibrator tune from www.modulardepot.com

I'm not too impressed with the canned tune.

I'm hoping that when I purchase the JLT CAI kit, they can provide me with a SCT (xtr) file that I simply upload to my XCalibrator and then upload to my car.

I can currently adjust the A/F ration using SCT's software but I would have no clue what the optimum setting would be for a particular CAI without a dyno or somebody telling me what it should be.
