CAI airflow evaluation needed

I'm getting ready to install my FRPP Bullitt style CAI plus a tune (TBD). Since I happen to have a 3D Carbon center fog grill, I am looking at the possibility of adding an internal under hood "scoop" to add airflow at speed. Attached is a photo with mark ups and sketch of this concept. (not my car, but a good photo) I would probably cut and score the plastic radiator top piece and bend down at a 45 and add side pieces to make the scoop. As you can see it would be in the area of where the stock fog light would normally be. And it would be right in line with the under hood air entrance to the FRPP filter bucket assembly.

A question is - would this modification help or hinder the air flow to the CAI? My obvious concern is at speed I don't want this "scoop" to cause turbulence such that the performance of the CAI degrades. Thanks in advance.

My understanding is that plenty of air gets in under the lip of the hood. And that any ram-air effect on these cars is unnoticeable under 100 mph.

I could be wrong tho...
