Just use the USB cable from your printer or scanner if yours didn't come with one.

Mine came with one, but that was last year.

Installation

Installation was too easy, I didn’t time myself but I probably had everything done in 30 minutes. I didn't like the fact that the shield is secured in the front by zip tying it to the brake lines. But it does the job. I loaded the 93 octane race tune as I was on my second tank of 93 octane and I was ready to go.

Impressions

Throttle response has improved. It feels like a different car, even my exhaust is louder. It pulled hard when I floored it but once I hit 3500 rpm it seemed to pull even harder.

I have been able to chirp the tires in third gear after I installed the MGW shifter but now the tires break a little more on the shift.

I wanted to get it on a Dyno so I'd have some numbers to report but the shop I was going to use is closed this week. I will get it dynoed eventually. My fuel mileage has dropped but that has to be due to how I've been driving lately.

So to sum it, the C&L Racer fits good, looks cool and Tillmanspeeds customer service was great. The car is much stronger and more responsive, definitely worth it.

Thanks, CR
Well as you state the shield for these c&l intakes really are cheesy. Hopefully tillman can come out with that shield some day for the c&l. This shield is junk. I am sure there are thousands that want to replace this crap.

You need a USB A/B cable according to the User Manual. Any USB A/B cable should work.

I'm with ya... it's hard work to keep the engine clean on a daily driver. It already takes enough time dusting it off and getting the bugs off the front after a drive.

I used to live in Austin for 3 years, I remember the days when I used to wash the car and then it would rain the next day and continue to rain or plan to wash it then some big storm was going to happen, oh well-great city though....

Rocky knows what I'm talking about.

You could put 4 beetle bags within an acre property, and still be pulling them out of your hair on the way in the house.

Anyone know if C&L offers the coupling hoses in another color besides blue? Looking for a flat black like the K&N uses.

I know of a place that sells silicone hoses, but they're all in gloss finish.

I've come to the realization that it's the simple things that are hard to find and locate.

Yep that's for sure. Do you think the spraypaint is a good idea?

I'm not sure how it'll hold up on silicone. Guess I'll end up trying out the gloss black, then take it from there.
