C&L Performance is now offering custom tuning for 2005-09 Mustangs

Hey guys,

This is Doug, former owner of BamaChips, i've joined forces with C&L Performance, in Huntsville, AL, to start custom tuning once again. You can contact me direct 205-285-9360 or you can email me at Doug@CnLperformance.com. I will be writing all tune files or programming on the tuner of your choice.

We have both lines, Diablosport and SCT tuning software and products. This combined with my years of tuning experience and training will yield one of the best tunes on the market today. Any 05-10 auto customers of mine will tell you, I write the tunes that are what you want, what you ask for, and for most any modification combination on the market today. I focus on driveability and smooth operation, the WOT power is simple and about 5% of a tune, the power up to that point is where the car is at the other 95% of the time. Tuning for perfect driveability is what separates me from other custom tuners, not to mention my kick-*** auto tunes.

Yes, I work directly for C&L Performance but we will write tunes for ANY air intake on the market today.

Let us know how we can help you get the most power from your 4.6!

Thanks!! Doug

What's the difference between , torque, race and performance tune?

And... I live in French polynesia, will i be able to order custom tunes?
(brenspeed allowed me to enter their adress for that but AM doesn't)

Here's a brief run down on the differences of my tune files. Please review this information and if you have any questions after this please feel free to ask.

The Torque and Performance programs differ in the range they are aimed at for making power. The Torque is more so a daily driver program that focuses in on the 1500-3500 rpm's band. In order to do so well in that range though it does give up a few HP up top and this is why I break it apart from my Performance adjustments. The Performance program is aimed at more of a 3000rpm and up rpm band focusing in more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving. This is a great track tune but also works well daily driven.

The Race tune will further enhance the drivability of your new Mustang. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area I can write a tune that will bring the throttle response to life. Enough so that I wouldn't recommend it for daily driving use as it may try to jump out from a stop and possibly even spin the tires. This wouldn't be good if you were beside a police car. One of the true benefits of this tune is that it doesn't increase the timing or reduce the fuel so it can be used with only the premium grade fuel available in your area. Finally with the automatics I use an entirely new shifting curve and torque converter scheduling to further enhance the all out performance of the car.

All of my programs are safe to use for daily driving unless we agree on doing something otherwise.

YES, you can order a custom tune file from the website as we email them but if you need a complete tuner or air intake/Tuner combo you will need to call us direct.

Just let me know if I can help.

Thanks!! Doug

Great to have another option of where to buy tunes. Once I purchase a tune package, will you guys be offering updates as additional modifications are added at no extra charge? Similar to some of your competitors do?

Welcome Doug, I'm sure you don't remember me but you did my tunes for my 05 Ranger when you where with Bama & you did my current 07 Mustang Tunes. I only use the Race tune myself, the throttle response is great & the stang runs awesome. It also gets 26mpg on the freeway running @ 70mph.

I was the originator of the Free tune updates, I still offer that for our new tunes as long as you own your car. The only time I do not is if you install some type of forced induction which then you should be dynotuned anyway.

Just let me know how I can help!

When I sold Bamachips to American Muscle they purchased all of my previous tune files and customers so I'm sure they'd be glady to help as I don't have these anymore. Just shoot me an email for more information.

Thanks, Doug

I will give you guys a try. I am getting ready to purchase a FRPP intake manifold or the Steeda delete plates (still researching) but probably with in a day or so. What do I need to do to order a tune from you guys?

So far I'm very pleased with the tune I installed. I previously had a Brenspeed tune. This tune seems to be much smoother and I feel a much more responsive throttle. The Brenspeed never seemed to give much until I was around 3500 rpms not sure why that was. But if you are looking for custom tunes give these guys a try, you won't be disappointed

I ordered a new set of tunes from C&L last night and got them today. I ran Doug's race tune of rover 3 years on my DD. Then two years ago a dealership flashed my PCM and I lost Doug's tune, I've been unhappy ever since even after trying many other "big name" tunes. For those of you who were not around to remember him NO ONE can tune an auto like Doug does, period.

Doug pulled through for me on tweaking my tunes as well! I am adding a FRPP throttle body and he did a quick turn around on a new set of tunes! Thanks Doug!
