What exactly is wrong with California gas?

 

I read that CA gas is rated different than most other states.

We kinda get shafted on our gas. The rating might say 91 octane, but it's more like 89 or 90 compared to other states. When I asked Brent about a special tune for CA gas, he knew what I was talking about. He had to back out the timing a bit. Sacrifises a little power for longevity of the engine.

Go to brenspeed.com and Brent will take care of you. Tell him that Nick sent you. He'll answer any questions you have.

You buy a programmer from him with his custom tunes of your choice. Then he ships the programmer to you. You pull a few fuses and plug in the programmer under your steering wheel. Follow the simple commands. And voila...you're done!
